The endocannabinoid system in our bodies is what makes cannabinoid very beneficial. A very important role in our bodies is played by the endocannabinoid system. Homeostasis which involves maintaining a stable environment in the body is carried out by the endocannabinoid system. Cannabinoid receptors in the body perform chemical reactions that help achieve homeostasis. Cannabinoid bond with cannabinoid receptors thereby regulating body processes. Cannabinoids from plants are known as phytocannabinoids. Since the body is unable to produce enough cannabinoid, phytocannabinoids come very much in handy. Bonding with cannabinoid receptors is the reasons cannabinoid are beneficial healthwise.

As mentioned earlier, CBDA is a precursor cannabinoid. CBD and THC are extracted from CBDA through decarboxylation. This process involves the removal of a carboxyl group and releases carbon dioxide. The reaction involves subjection of CBDA to heat. CBDA is not used in its raw form as it lacks bioavailability. Bioavailable compounds are easily absorbed in the bodies. In its raw state, CBDA is not easily absorbed. After decarboxylation, the products of CBDA are readily absorbed. Although, CBDA is not bioavailable, it has unique benefits that are lost after its decarboxylation.

CBDA doesn’t bind with cannabinoid receptors. CBDA has other health benefits albeit it doesn’t bind with cannabinoid receptors. CBDA can help with the release of some enzymes in the body. When consumed, CBDA helps in the release of enzymes that aid with inflammation. The release of these enzymes lowers inflammation. Research has shown that CBDA can help boost the release of serotonin. Mood and social behavior are regulated by serotonin which is produced by serotonin. Serotonin plays an important role in digestion, appetite, and sleep. Therefore, CBDA can be used for mental health conditions such as depression.
